Love my 99C and thnking of getting a P99. Anything new coming down the road with Walther? Any issues I should be aware of? Whats a good price? Can RangerT ammo be fired in a Walther (full and compact) with no problems?
Ummm the talk is that there is a new Walther coming to town at SHOT-show 2007......
but I have yet to get more details..... however I was told by a Walther rep.... "you will like it's features"
Other than that..... I got a 2004 P99/AS all balck in .40S&W on the "sale baord"

I'm getting kinda interested in the P99c. If you will, I would appreciate your thoughts on the little Walther.
Good, bad, indifferent..
I've never even held one, but I love Walthers and think the P99c would be a nice addition to my P1 & P5.
I really like compact 9's and in the past had two Glock26's (didn't like 'em). I have now a Sig P239, Bersa Thunder 9/UC, KelTec P11, Star BM, S&W 3913. Wonder how the P99c would compare with any of these?
Thanks,
J. Pomeroy
SHOT-show is in January of 2007

Ive owned a G27 and 3913 so I will compare to that.
vs G27. Ergonomics on the 99 are much better. Less like a brick, it really fits your hand with the changable backstraps. It also "appears" to be of higher quality than the 27 if that appeals to you (it does me). I like the trigger better on the Walter.
vs 3913. I liked the 3913 but the ergonomics are far better on the Walter. The Walter is fatter which is the price you pay for more rounds. I dont like DA/SA triggers nor do I like safeties so the Walther wins here too.
The pictures of the 99 dont do it justice. To me the pix make it appear "off balance" and stout, but in the hand it feels great.
