Hi guys,

I spoke with Hodgdon today and asked if they have any plans to update their 50AE data.

Their only reponse was nobody has any interest in it. Great, I for one would like to see some info updated.

ronterry has been doing a little work with LongShot, and I am going to do the same this weekend.

To my knowledge, none of the published data from any of the majors covers anything other than jacketed bullets with H110, AA1680, H4227 and N105 and maybe a mention of one or two others. None include the commonly available 335gr bullet from Rainier or any of their other stuff.

This kinds sucks because the 335gr bullet is certainly a viable bullet for this round, it's plated, which costs a hell of a lot less than the Speer 325's and it's available in bulk.

If you guys can, drop Hodgdon a call or an e-mail asking them to update their load data with the 50 AE. If you happen to communicate with the other mfrs, ask them too.

It will only help us all in the end. Right now, a buck a pop for factory Speer makes shooting a lot more expensive than it should for a round that's been out so long.

Thanks,

BigSlick
