Decided to start shooting again. Had a Glock 23 and 27 in the early 90' and then sold them a few years later. So bought a 32 and a 37. Decided to put on different sights. TFO's seemed to get good reviews. Bought a set, bought a Glockmeister sight tool kit. The front sight popped off the 32, the front TFO snapped into the slide's oval hole, a dab of Loctite and screwed it in with the front sight tool. The rear tool slid the old out and the new in, PERFECT! Ordered a set Of Novak standard fiber optic sights. Front sight came off the 37. the new sight fell into the oval hole and had 5 degrees of play, Nuts!! Then tried to set the screw into the front sight too and the hex screw is TOO BIG for the tool, NUTS!! again. Off to the tool box and got a deep socket to set the screw. Now the rear sight slid off with the rear tool easily. The NEW rear sight would not budge on. After what I feel was a lot of filing and polishing the rear finally pressed on. The Novak web sight says for the Glock sights "slight machining may be necessary". I guess a little machining to a company that makes great sights for so many years should not be tried by a rookie. The .060 green front and the .040 red rear sights look great in the room. Tomorrow off to the range for some serious trigger control practice. So next time, (on a future G34) I'll try the Truglo fiber optics, Trijicon or a company that caters to Glock pistols.
