Got a question for my fellow GT'ers. I have a Pre-Ban AR-15, and machine guns are legal in my state. How would I go about converting my gun to full auto legally?
Thanks:wavey:

You must purchase a conversion device which was legally registered as a machine gun prior to 1986.
You can purchase a lightning link at about $7,000-$8,000 or a DIAS for $10,000-$12,000.
Good luck.

94 AW Pre-Ban has nothing to do with the 86 machinegun ban which was not repealed.
If you must use this gun, then you must buy a conversion kit registered before 1986.
You will pay as much or more for said kit, then you would for a complete gun.

The Machine gun ban is the one I was referring to. My gun was made in 1979. But if it's not legal or outlandishly expensive then Oh Well, it was an idea.
Thanks for the input everyone.
About all you can do with that specific lower is get a registered drop in autosear (RDIAS) and M16 fire control group and bolt carrier.
Your probably just as good or better off buying a M16. You must also make sure you don't have stuff like aluminum gas blocks(front site posts), the standard one is ok.
