Extended mag release works well, but you have to train your thumb not to get in the way, so the slide does not lock accidentally.

I am thinking OD Green Diamondkote.
I have some scope rings done in Diamondkote and they came out real nice.
I can have the slide and bbl done for $55.00. Great price.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the oversized mag release you have is not legal in IDPA. You may have an extended mag release (up to .20" longer) but it cannot be oversized. Sorry.
BTW you can get the extended only release from Lone Wolf Distributors for under $5.
