Laiya is the best beach w/in 2.5hrs from manila IMO
You can swim , jog or ride a bike
Plus the best crispy pata in the world is just few towns away

i've been to Laiya twice and find the place decent. you have 3 beach choices and have the best white beach in batangas. meals and rooms are decent and you can get fresh tuba in the morning. there is a swimming pool but needs to be filtered more regularly. we go there during the weekdays as the weekends are always crowded. Laluz owned by the Marasigans is also a nice place however the beach is a bit rocky.

Hundred Islands. You can have an island of your own.

+1. Masakit/magaspang sa paa. Nag-beach volleyball kami, barefooted, di ako nakatagal :)

Lubak-lubak pa yung daan papunta dun (last year kami nag punta for teambuilding, baka patag na ngayon).

What about Panglao in Bohol? Ok mag day tour/island hopping.

Natry na namin mag stay sa Panglao Island Nature resort, the best although can't say that it's not too expensive .

Ok din daw dun, sana next year makapunta.

Re: Laiya

You guys went to Laluz nung summer and all you noticed was the sand???
Good grief :)
Te finest sand in the area is at Kabayan and Coco beach , but I sure as heck not going to Laluz because of the sand :)

Bohol, Cebu, Palawan, bora etc are given , kaso ang layo and bitin 3 araw

Havent been to Pagudpod , pero the beaches in Cagayan North are pretty close to Boracay sand in texture and color ( hindi rin pang 3 day weeend )

This place I discovered accidentally

http://www.diveandtrek.com/facilities_photos.htm

Dont expect a good beach kasi kasing laki ng doberman mga bato dun
But one you get in the water, ang ganda
You dont have to look for the marine life sa sanctuary kasi , they'll be looking for you.

the place is remote , you need a boat ride to get there

Reasonable rates , pero dont expect 5 star accomodations

You get to enjoy
the clear waters of Panglao beaches and Loboc River,
the corals and marine life of Balicasag Island,
the sceneries of Chocolate (green) Hills(as my kid argues how it should be called, it's actually green this time of the year) and Sagbayan Peak.
And if you're lucky, you get to party with the local Tarsiers.
All these you can do in a minimum stay of 48hrs.
A day in the beach and another with nature.
Hope this helps.

I'll go for Laiya given the distance. But if you'll go for snorkling, not at La Luz. Been there twice and the bottom has a lot of garbage.

In fairness, love the rock. It turned out a symbol for La Luz.

Allegra,

Since natuwa kayo sa dive and trek, eto po link ng mga resort sa Anilao, karamihan lang dive resort. (http://www.mabini.gov.ph/mab_tourism_01.htm)
