This guy was lonely, so he decided life would be more fun if he had a pet.
So he went to the pet store and told the owner that he wanted to buy an unusual pet.
After some discussion, he finally bought a centipede (100-legged bug), which came in a little white box for his house.

He took the box back home, found a good location for it, and decided he would start off by taking his new pet to the bar to have a drink.

So he asked the centipede in the box, "Would you like to go to Frank's with me and have a beer?" But there was no answer from his new pet.
This bothered him a bit, but he waited a few minutes and then asked him again, "How about going to the bar and having a drink with me?"

But again, there was no answer from his new friend and pet. So he waited a few minutes more, thinking about the situation.
He decided to ask him one more time, this time putting his face up against the centipede's box and shouting,
"Hey, in there! Would you like to go to Frank's place and have a drink with me?

A little voice came out of the box, "I heard you the first time! I'm putting on my goddamed shoes!"

Hi C-mama. I should have known, you being the mod and all.
Tell ya what, I'll drop in here occasionally when I have a bad joke like the one above. The place could use a little life....and Scott hasn't given me a rimshot in a while either.

Current Threat Levels
>
>
>
>The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent bombings and have
>raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though,
>security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit
>Cross." Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when
>tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from
>"Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a
>"Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the great fire of 1666.
>
>
>
>
>Also, the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its
>terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide.” The only two higher levels in
>France are "Surrender" and "Collabora te." The rise was precipitated by a
>recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively
>paralyzing the country's military capability.
>
>
>
>
>It's not only the English and French that are on a heightened level of
>alert. Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout loudly and
>excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain:
>"Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."
>
>
>
>The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to
>"Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher
>levels: "Invade a Neighbor" and "Lose."
>
>
>
>Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual, and the only
>threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
>
>
>
>In other news French Ban Fireworks at Euro Disney(AP), Paris. The French
>Government announced today that it is imposing a ban on the use of
>fireworks at Euro Disney. The decision comes the day after a nightly
>fireworks display at the park, located just 30 miles outside of Paris,
>caused the soldiers at a nearby French army garrison to surrender to a
>group of Czech tourists.

:laughabove: I especially like the bit about the French threat levels. Reminds me of my favorite (and only) French joke. Here it is

Why do the French line their streets with trees?

Because the Germans like to march in the shade.
