I have 2 Rugers that I am trying to figure out what they would be worth if I were to sell them.
One is a pre '94 ban P89 9mm. It is kinda beat up but I would still consider it in good condition. It has Pacmeyer grips and aftermarket adjustable sights, brand unknown.
The other is a New Model Blackhawk chambered in .45 Long Colt, no box but it is in excellent condition. I would honestly say it looks like it just came out of the box.
I have not made up my mind to sell them yet, but I would like to know what they are worth. Can anybody help?
Retail i guesstamate the P89 is worth no more than 300 dollers and the BH maby 400? id keep them before id sell them.A GUN STEALER WOULD GIVE YOU NEAR THAT!

when ever i decide to drive into Ft. Worth gun shows, i can buy the BH NIB, for $389.00/400.00, depending on vendor. I can tell you that used, and no box, you can still get 325.00, maybe 350.00, depending on how great they look. I bought 4 5/8" BH LNIB 45LC, with synthetic ivory marcarta grips, worth 55.00, from a guy there not long ago, for $380.00, would have given him 325.00, if not for the grips. This is to an individual, but to a vendor at a table... You will get about $250.00. The BH's are easy to get, and very plentiful, so they don't carry a high value on re-sale. At least not in Tx/Oka.
The "old style Vaquero's," on the other hand, well, that is another story. They are high dollar, and nearly as hard to find as a polar bear in Mexico.
Good luck. (man you ought to keep that 45LC). ;)

CanyonMan :animlol: We've got several "Mexican polar bears" on the shelves up here.
(well... maybe one less than there was a week ago, but you know about the little 'Vaquito' I snagged.)

Yeh, but your "Bears" just got 'tired of heading south to the border', and made a lucky stop in your shop!
Maybe thats why we don't see them any more down here!

Well, remember, I said the 'NIB BH's' will run from 389.00/400.00.
Used BH's can be had, (depending on condition), 325.00/350.00. They do not depreciate in value very much, even with a few scratches and old condition.
I drove to Dallas over the weekend to a gun show there, and came across "TWO" SS Old Style Vaquero's , One was a 5 1/2" for 500.00
the other a 4 5/8" for 400.00. These, as i said, will 'always sell' for 'more', because they 'are obsolete'. They were the "ONLY" two OV modles i saw in that very huge gun show, and both were being sold by 'individuals' walking the floor. I passed, cause i am up to my eyeballs in Rugers, for the moment. I am on a quest for only two more at present. The SS Bisley 5 1/2" in 44mag, and the very immposible to find 7 1/2" 10mm conversion.
At the same show, i saw dozens of BH's on the tables, both new and old, some were sporting 10" barrels, all selling in the 350.00 / 400.00 range, both new and old. In fact, the NIB were 'up just a tad' from last time, at around 400/418. But can still be found a little cheaper if you hunt for a bargin.
If you want an 'Old Model Vaquero', you better grab one while you can, they are being bought up, and held onto, by 'savvy pistolero's' that know the quality of this gun over all the other clones.
I am seeing "tons" of USED 'New Model Vaquero's,' laying for sale on vendors tables. This really does not surprise me. Although it is a good gun for 22,000psi and less loads, it does not have the feel, or strength of the OV model, and i believe over time, Ruger will have even 'more' request, than they already have, to "bring back," the OV.
So, good luck, and i would grab one, (OV), if you can find it! ;)

Good reason to keep my old ss 5 1/4 inch Vaqero. My Colt Cowboy is my cowboy close if i were to attend a SAS or CAS EVENT.Looks just like the real thing. I know my Vaqero on the other hand is a very strong cowboy gun that can shoot very heavy 45 colt loads.loads that would tear up any other ssa colne or colt ssa for that matter.especially the 1 st and 2nd generation guns.Back to my VaQERO ,I ONE STOCKED HER UP WITH RELOAD MEDIUM 44 MAGNUM LOADS.YEP THE FIT AND THEY FIRE.They felt a bit stout but i hadent fired her in a while and i figured they were some 45 hunting loads.nope 44 mags.the only reason i know is cause one case ruptued and had to be punched out with a wodden dowl.the gun is fine and saved my stupid but.its a strong ruger ssa and good looking, better looking than the blackhawks with their masive flat top and adjustable sites.
