P99 Accessory Rail?

I have a newer P99, made in late 2004 and I want to mount a light on it.

I've heard the newer style has a more universal rail than the older one. Which lights will fit? Is the rail the same size as the Glock?

Could somebody please clarify this for me?

open rail will hold the M5 light standard only... however there is a few other ones than can be put on with "keys" for the lights.....
