View Full Version : birdshot recoil difference
Is there any felt recoil difference between (#6, #8 or #9)birdshot out of a 12 gauge?
Thanks.

All other things being equal, nope.
It's simple physics, projectile weight x velocity = recoil energy.

Yep. People commonly think that the "target" birdshot sizes (7 1/2 and smaller) recoil less than the hunting birdshot sizes, but that is only because the target shells are loaded to a slower velocity, and or with a lighter shot charge.
