Hi fellow Makr's! I'm new to the glock forum and saw there was a Mak sub forum. Nice to see some people appreciate these! I've got an Arsenal AE Mak that's seen more cleaning/oiling and fondling time than range. Picked it up from a friend of mine whose late husband bought it years ago and drawered it. Free is good! Maybe have about 300 rounds at the very most through it. I've got a couple of boxes of S&B 95 FMJs that I've used and it seems to do pretty well. I originally got it with Hornady hollow points, but I didn't know much about them, so they are still laying around.

The Makarov is a outstanding pistol.

That Hornady JHP ammo is good stuff but Hornady, for some reason, loaded it about 50fps slow.
A lot of people say that they use it for their defense ammo though.

If you don't reload save your brass and sell it to a reloader for a couple dollars a box and reduce your shooting cost a little.

I shoot the Mak so very seldomly - it's shameful! I think it's seen range time once in the last 8 months. It's more of a novelty when I show it off to people. It def gets nice commments though.

Maks are great pistolas. The word is pretty well out on them now,so they're not as cheap as in the recent past....but even at 250 or less,they're a great buy if in decent shape and built like a brick poophouse.:supergrin:
