View Full Version : Holsters for Sp101??
What do you guys use for a hoslter for the Sp101?
Pics?
I use the following holsters for my SP101s:
1. Galco pocket holster (really only works well with the spurless DOA .357 model)
2. HBE Leather COM3
3. Fist IWB holster made with thin kydex (can't remember the model number
4. My wife uses a Matt Del Fatti belt holster
These all work for me/us but that doesn't really guaranty they'll work for anyone else. I've always found that holster selection for a new handgun is a trial and error process.

When the belt width and belt loop placement allow, I use the Milt Sparks PMK, which is most of the time. (I have a pair, to allow wearing two SP101 snubbies for the times I choose to do that.) I may order a PMK with slots for 1.75" belt for the times that the wider belt is better for the situation. Before the PMK, I used a pair of the Galco Concealables. For pocket use, I use Kramer, Desantis, Galco, and Uncle Mike's, because some pants work better with one brand than the others. The Kramer is the best, and preferred. For the occasions I want to wear one of the SP101 snubbies at a crossdraw angle, I have a Haugen rig I found on Ebay, which was originally made for a Colt Magnum Carry but is a perfect fit for the SP101. For police back-up, I use an Alessi ankle holster, and yes, I can run with the snubbie in place, and it stays put. I have three of these excellent snubbies, two custom and one stock, and carry at least one of them virtually 24/7.

I have a Comp-Tac Pro Undercover for my 3". They did not list it on their www site but I called them and they made me one. Warned me it might take a little longer, it was probably a week instead of their normal 3 days.
Which is the best IWB holster for the sp101? Does Milt Sparks make one? I have always used the Milt Sparks Versa Max, do they make one for the sp101?

Currently, Im using a Mitch Rosen The Workman holster.
Smart Carry experience with this gun anyone? I'm a smaller guy (5' 9" 170) if that matters.
I use a K & D "Laredo Defender"
