View Full Version : P99 Qa
I just purchased a P99QA today, but haven't picked it up because I don't have my permit yet. So my question that the dealer couldn't answer is, why does the QA have a decock if the decock renders the gun useless? It reminds me a a mag disconnect. They have a regular model in the rental case and the decock takes the gun from single action to double action.
Walther thought more than Glock when they designed the gun
 :laughabove: heheh just kidden... I am not putten Glocks down...
anyhow... the decocker is there so you don't have to pull the trigger in order to fieldstip the P99 for cleaning...
I don't have the QA... but I think it is not possible to take the slide off the frame unless it is decocked....

Is it too late to swap for an AS model?
I love my compact with the AS trigger/striker setup..
Just a thought..

What's the AS model? Is that the one with the double strike capability? I didn't like how much slack there was in the trigger when it goes to single action. Besides, this one I am buying is used and happens to be one of my classmate's pistols.
Yes the P99/AS is the DA/SA
before 2004 the P99 was the DA/SA......the "AS" destination came with the 2004 frame change....
