View Full Version : need help, star pd!
i have a star pd .45 and the shock buffer is worn out and i think is the source of it jamming. but i could not find new buffers specifically for the star, anyway i read on some other forums that you could buy Shok-Buff wilson combat replacement buffers for 1911 style autos to replace with, but i cant figure out how to get them on the recoil spring because the factory ones can just pop off and these are complete cirlces, does anyone know more about the star pd's recoil spring assembly or have an exploded diagram of this firearm or has had the same problem with their gun, thanks alot

A poster in the above thread says Jack First Gun Shop makes the buffers. When I checked at www.jackfirstgun.com , it shows they have/make SOME parts for the Star PD, but it doesn't list WHAT parts they have/make. Their chart shows the Star PD listed as gun number 414 on page 2320 of their parts catalog, but that catalog is not online. They suggest "If you don't have access to part numbers, please call (605) 343-9544 and Becky, Nancy and Nora will assist you."
(that's from their orderinfo page) http://www.jackfirstgun.com/orderinfo.html
I shot one of those Star PDs many years ago; cool little gun.
Hope this is helpful.
