Anyone try the Vanek triggers for Glocks?
By the time you send your gun to him you will have spent almost enough to have bought another gun. Way over priced.

Vanek's custom and drop in trigger are in my opinion the best in the market. Vanek stands by his work and he an easily accessible for Q and A.
As far as Joe D's comment about cost is concerned Vanek offers two types of triggers. One that is customized for your gun (1 pound or more) and a 2 pound drop in trigger kit. The customized trigger is at least 2x's more expensive than the drop in kit since Vanek fit the parts and test fires the firearm to assure himself that everything is working properly. Part of the price difference between the drop in and the custom is the shipping which makes up at least one third of the cost.
BTW, I have spent more on a +1 pound 1911 open gun trigger job that’s was done by a local gunsmith than what I have spent on a custom Vanek trigger which included shipping.
Here's a thread on the Drop in kit that can be found on Brian Enos website

O.K. JoeD, I know you do it, but what can the average mechanically inclined Glocker do to get the trigger down to 2 1/2# or so. I have been exiled from Bama to Missouri for the next couple of years or I would stalk you until I got your secrets.
Any help would be appreciated as I am on the verge of buying the Vanek for my G35 for next year IDPA.

Rik

I actually met and shot with him in Tulsa on Sat at the USSA.Very nice guy that shoots pretty good too.The gun Im getting has his "Ultimate" Trigger in it. My trigger job that I have done myself on my Glock is pretty good.Good enough to take me from D to B calss in eight months, but it is kinda ghetto and diasables the Trigger saftey....not for everyone but great for me! Takes up all the Slack and makes it very crisp. I am looking forward to getting a professional trigger...regardless of the cost or return time....and as I said it is coming in a gun I purchased.
Do I think the Vanek Trigger is nice or overpriced??...Hell I will let you know in a week or so. I was just trying to se how people felt about the triggers feel.Return time is no big deal to me as I have a back up for everything! I also know people who have spent much more than Vanek wants on their 1911s,CZ,s...and I dont know what Canyon Creek wants for their jobs on the XDs,but it is sweet! I got to shoot one on Sat and it was very nice! I will give you one thing though....doing a Glock trigger job is wayyyyy easier than a 1911 or some others.....hell I can do it..lol

Joe,
That’s great that you are offering your insights on how to improve Glock triggers by way of PM. If you haven’t already done so why don’t you go ahead and post your Glock trigger job secrets on this forum or some other website of your choosing so others can learn from all of your Glock gunsmith/armourer experiences.

Venom,
You will be satisfied with the trigger that Charlie will provide you and its been my experience that you should have it within 5 business days of you shipping it to him.
