I've been carrying my G23 for several years on a regular basis. It's basically my go-to gun and I love it. That said, I've been shooting my SigP229 with it's .357 Sig barrel and I'm really digging the caliber over the .40. Unfortunately, I'm so used to carrying my G23 that I find the Sig too heavy and bulky to carry. Mebbe if it was a P239, but...
So... I decided to pick up a drop-in barrel and convert the G23 to .357. My questions are:
1. Is it true that there are no issues in doing this? It's not going to damage the gun in any way?
2. Even though I ordered a couple of .357 mags as well, can I use the G23's .40 mags or are the followers different? I've got a crapload of old 10-round .40 mags that I'd like to use at the range if I can.
probably too late to be asking, but what the hell?
