Greetings.
I prefer Gen 2 to Gen 3 myself, and am in the market for a G19. Are there any ranges of serial numbers that I should avoid, or seek out?
Thanks in advance,
Vig

I got the info on the 'XK' cutoff on SNs for the trigger. Is there anything else I should look for in a Gen 2 G19?
Thanks.

If you check the sub-category in "general Glocking" and look at the serial number thread, I think they've got the problem serial numbers outlined there...

Well, I forgot about the 'XK' cutoff on SNs, and ended up with a 2-pin gun with MM prefix. But I plan to send it in to Glock for a refurb and slide refinish, so hopefully they will address any problems.
Even with hands as large as mine, I have no problem latching on to mine. My pinky laps over the front of the mag, but it is not uncomfortable. I wish I had bought a G19 years ago!

TG dates G-19/MM as 4/1/1990

Thanks, Dan.
Eventually, I will pick up one more nice Gen 2, and I will pay closer attention on that one. Saw a new, unfired one sell for $400, but I missed it. Gull durnit!

Can someone please explain to me what the problem is or was with guns of this serial number prefix or prior?
Thank you.
