View Full Version : FN TPS help
I bought a brand new TPS today and I put two rounds through the shotgun before the stock failed and collasped. Is there anything I can do besides replace the stock with a better one? Is there a way to tighten the spring? I did not expect this to happen to an $800 gun.

I guess I'd be callin' FN.You would expect more from a shotgun that costs that much.$800 is pretty high for it. www.gunsamerica.com has them for $575-650.

If you bought it new, you should contact your dealer. Especially if you payed anything close to $800. The dealer made a pretty good profit on you and should offer you some service for it. Then you should contact FN.
I have one with about 250 rounds through it...no troubles at all. I did replace the stock assembly with an ambi sling plate, a mil-spec tube, new castle nut and a Magpul CTR stock about 50 rounds ago. I found no apparent wear on the old parts.
BTW Tanner's (on gunbroker.com) sells them for more or less than $500 depending on model.
John at CMMG was with me when I bought it and I just called him and he told me how to fix the problem. I had to tap out the pin that was holding the set screw on the lever and adjust the screw. Well, now back to the range!
