Will it damage the firing pin, or anything else on this new 870 Express?

Haven't managed to break one doing it yet, and I've done it for years.
If you're worried, buy a few snapcaps.

I did try in a couple of ranges, even before I purchased the shotgun, but they didn't have.
as i recall, a remington rep chimed in on shotgunworld and said dry fire ok on 870

Dry fire on Remington 870 should not be a problem.
