View Full Version : Front sight on the G36
I want to put a night sight in the front sight on my G36. It appears that only Trijicon sells these, others are marked excluding the G36?
What goes? Any help appreciated!
thanks

I put these on my G36. Work fine, POI about 4" high at 25yds with 230gr standard vel. ammo. POI=POA with 200gr ammo.
The concern with these sights is that the little screw that secures the front sight from the inside of the slide mar rub upon the top of the barrel during cycling. Mine just clears the screw. Not a problem at all.
You'll need a 3/16" (IIRC) thin wall hex driver bit to tighten it GENTLY. Check Sears, about $3.
ETA- A 1/4" drill bit inserted backward into a drill press chuck makes a great sight press. Pad the slide in a drill press vice appropriately, start the sight in by tapping with a plastic mallet then use your thumb to hold the drill bit end in alignment with the sight and carefully press it in. Center it optically or use a set of calipers, test fire and adjust as needed.
