Need some help here

Well my xd9 was having some problem with the slide...When I pulled it back and let go of it...the slide didn't come back all the way...I've finally figured it out why...Turns out that the striker retention had broken inside into two pieces...Here are the questions....I need to get a new striker retention for it, do you guys know where I can get it? Second, is it safe to shoot that gun right now knowing that there is no striker retention in it...This might sound pretty stupid to ask but I've try dry firing and it seem to work just fine...Any advice is appreciated...
