View Full Version : LEO G29 hard to find?
I placed an order with the Scottsdale Gun Club in AZ for a blue label Glock 29 over a month ago and I am still waiting to get it. I called today and they said that have at least 10 of every Glock model in blue label form but the G29. Has anyone else had a hard time finding these?
Took me 13 weeks to get my first G29(nonrail). Depends on when in the manufacturing cycle you order yours. Glocks makes runs of the smaller demand models when a backlog builds. Or so I was told by someone at Glock.
Whats the difference really whether it is LEO or not? I have a LEO Glock22 I carried at work, went to armorers school, no one told me they were any different.
Do LEO only models always come with night sights? Or is it just that third magazine that differentiates it from the "civilian" models?
If you're desperate, it's probably easier to just buy a G29 with night sights and get an extra magazine, but then you'd have to pay that tax the LEO models are usually exempt from.
they don't always come with night sights, my 22 didn't have them.
With LEO Glocks the pistols themselves are no different and the sub compacts still only come with two magazines (although the others do have 3). The biggest difference is the $100 savings that I get with the LEO discount (thus an LEO Glock). I am not desperate, just frustrated. I prepaid for this one and it is going on two months now and no word on when the store will get one.
Call Glock up and ask when they expect the next ones to leave the factory. Ask for the LE sales rep. He was helpful/informative when I was in your shoes.
(you shouldnt have had to prepay. that must be a store requirement. Glock only requires a letterhead to ship a LE pistol to a distributor)

The prepay is a store requirement and they are a stocking dealer of LEO Glocks. I found out today that it finally came in but I'm out of town, grrr! Oh well, I'll have it soon.
Hey, thats Great! I hope you enjoy your G29 as much as I do.
Actually I already have one that is my primary CCW. This is my second
I only have the one.
