im making a display framed type picture box of all the agencies ive worked with/for.
i have patches from all except the USCG.
where can i get one official shoulder patch?
do i have to send a copy of my dd214 somewhere and sign a release or what?
any help is appreciated.......p.s. i can trade a Chambers County S.O. (Al.) shoulder patch for one...hint hint....
Most shoulder patches are "unit specific". You might contact the ship or station of interest directly or if you want a generic patch roust the local recruiter.. they usually have a box fulla freebees.
Good luck..FN

im inland quite a bit from any USCG station or recruiter......so a simple trip to the mall wont yield much at the recruitment offices..
i dont want unit specific stuff, just the Ensign/Flag/Patch that has the emblem and red striping......, not the side of the cutter deal, but the Flag....
i may have a lead on one from a current guy.....and will be sending him something in return for his help....

You want the USCG Ensign like this?

Or, the flightsuit patch like this?

I have access to both of these. Send me a PM with your address and I'll drop one in the mail to you.
For unit patches, etc. -- you might want to try LCDR Wessling's "patch store" website here:

the top one is the one i wanted.....and while yours in better shape than the one i just got, i wont look a gift horse in the mouth.
a fellow G.T.er and current Coasty sent me an older one from a SAR vest, i wanted that because its the type that was in service when i was in. the new plasticey/rubber ones are just too new wave for me, i like tradition.....
and while the Air Station patch is nice, i couldnt display it with honor since i was not in the Aviation Div.
thanks to all who offered.
God Bless and Semper Paradus.
