If I were to get my hands on a Unfired ( except from the factory) P99AS in 9mm with all the accessories. Would you keep it in the safe and pristine or would you use it?
I think tehre were a thousand made and I'm not sure what sequence number this one is yet.
I have no idea if it would be worth collecting and selling at some later date or using it?

go a head and use it. The standard production value P99's are meant to be fired. Really is not for collecting; mass produced. The only P99's that will appreciate in value are the two MI6 007 models and the special roll engraved pistols.
Ok, Thanks, In that case, It's probably not worth the extra bucks for the video and leather case etc. I'll hold out for a standard P99AS.
Thanks

Shoot it - I have seen these sell for pretty cheap online. Early, early in 2006, I could have bought one for around $650 or so if I wanted. Almost the price of the standard one new.
Sure, they made this whole case and limited #. But, its turning out that the value isn't going up. Shoot it.
Thanks guys, I decided to pass on it because I can get a non-comm model for 200 bucks less than they wanted for this one. For a collector it was one of the better prices I had seen for this commemerative model but not wirth the extra dollrs if planned on using it.

that is a beautiful pistol--definitely will appreciate in value; I wonder if Walther is going to produce any AS models.
I looked and I doubt they are... only listed as P99/QA and I think Earl's may be the only one to get them from.... though I might be wrong but I have not seen them listed in the US anywhere at all....
(Imagine a S&W import log on this gun)
might have to call Earl and confirm its excistance in the US
