Do the .357 Sig fans think the round penetrates bone(Skull, ribs, spine) better or cause more damage than the other service calibers?

From my backyard testing, I think the 357Sig excels in hard barrier penetration like glass and metal. How does skull, ribs, spine, compare to glass and metal?
There's a report printed in my Gun Digest Book of Combat Handgunnery regarding two police officers (I think in Texas) that were shooting at a criminal inside the cab of a large semi-truck. One officer had a .45 and could not penetrate the cab. The other officer had a .357 SIG and not only penetrated the cab, but penetrated the criminal's brain, killing him instantly. I can't speak for the other service calibers, but it would appear the .357 SIG's high velocity would provide superior skeletal penetration than the .45 ACP, especially after penetrating other hard barriers.

Thanks for your replies, guys. The reason that I'm asking is that there was a thread in the Caliber Corner that was locked about a .40 not going through a rib cage. As a LEO, I know of a 147gr. 9mm doing the same thing and a .45 acp bouncing off a skull. I also know about a .357 Mag and 9mm FMJ not failing. It was food for thought. I do know that Depts that use the .357 Sig haven't complained.
I talked on the phone a few months ago with Mike McNett from Double Tap, and he said that the hard barrier penetration of the .357 Sig is about on par with that of the 10mm. (Mike, correct me if I'm wrong; I hope I'm not putting words in your mouth).

The 357sig beat the pants off both the .40SW and the 9mm

From your article:
"Dr Topper said, "However, for the shooter who wants it all (high energy, flat trajectory, high velocity, extreme accuracy, high firepower and deep penetration) in a single cartridge that fits in a concealable, shootable handgun, the .357SIG is just the ticket."
I couldn't agree more.

Interesting reading indeed, another believer
This study is 10 years old. I wonder how the two stack up against each other when comparing like for like. Say, 165 grain factory Gold Dot .40 vs. 125 grain factory Gold Dot .357, from a G22 and G31, respectively. My money says each has its pros and cons and, in the long run, there's not much difference.
Could be.
That is why 10mm is better.

I love the .40 and the .357 Sig, but after reading the article I am left asking.... Then why did the FBI pick the .40 S&W?

As I recall, the FBI FTU was divided between 9mm and .45acp. .40 had the .4 and the double stack capacity. .357 Sig may have been a little later in development.
