Lake City XM855 62gr. 1000 loose in box for $250. Is this a good price considering where prices seem to be headed?
Thanks

It's XM855PD, the last of what could be considered saleable before the garbage can. The price seems in line with where everything seems to be going. you'll probably have a fair bit of stuff in the box that isn't shootable................Let us know if you find any "pretzels".

As I understand it xm855 and mx855pd are 2 different items.
I understood that xm855 was "first" rejects with some of the rounds in a batch not meeting full specs such as not completely sealed or other minor problems and the whole batch is surplused as xm855
XM855 PD is supposed to be "second" rejects meaning they are the ones that have dents, crimps, and other sorts of more major defects.
Please correct me if I have this wrong. The ammo I am looking at is XM855 and is not designated "PD" anywhere.
THanks in advance for the help.
If its not "PD" then its a decent buy.

If it's packed loose, 1000 rounds to a box, it's XM855PD, unless someone took the time to unbox all 1000 rounds and put them in a bigger box for ya.

so, if's it is loose it is automatically "PD" . That is good to know. I guess I will stay away from it then.
Thanks
