Over at my home board http://bersatalk.com 1151 members I was asked about would Corbon DPX shoot thru a solid wood door or 16 guage metal. Well I didn't have a door but I had a well season 2x4 and A PPK/S loaded with DPX in my pocket . A quick trip out to side yard. I fired a the 2X4 at approx10' 4" side facing and hole plum threw. Now DPX is noted in metal to fold onself and carry metal plug on with it. Well from looks of wood it also folded and became a blunt nose FMJ. Exit hole was same as entry. No bullet recovery as grazed a tree cutting a nice groove and into my woods.
Well I looked around in my junk. no 16 or 20 guage metal But I had several 1 ft square 1/4" thick aluminum plates. OK lets go.
Back to back yard set plate up moved back to about 25' I fired and then checked to make sure I wasn't shot. Checked plate. I have a circle 1/2" across and slighty in to plate. Back side of plate has a bice little bulge. So if behind 1/4" metal plate your safe. hide behind a 2x4 and your in trouble.
That my story and I sticking to it:banana:
