I surfed their site and couldn't find any. now if they just reintroduce it in 41 Mag and 45 Colt. DJ Niner 12-16-2006, 03:39 I just bought a Ruger gun magazine which details all their new offerings, but the 4" Redhawk shown was a factory prototype, not a final production model. I'm eager to see it too. How about a contest to see who can find pics of it first? Post'em here when you find them! :) DJ Niner 12-16-2006, 03:42 Davidson's "Gallery Of Guns" has a place-holder for it, but no photo yet (use Power Search to find it; apparently, no linking is allowed). It also states that this will be an allocated item, so only Davidson's bigger retailers will get some (initially). AusShane 12-16-2006, 04:26 I used to have this one, aint production but it was pretty cool to shoot, pretty accurate too had a 8 inch barrel but i had it trimmed to 2 & 7/8 inches and had it crowned plus a new sight built, it shot ok http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j227/shaneme28/redhawksnub.jpg DJ Niner 12-16-2006, 04:43 It has a cute, pug-nosed look to it. I like it! How was it recoil-wise? AusShane 12-16-2006, 04:58 Actually it was pretty nice to shoot, i used to load my own rounds and use the odd box of factory stuff, any factory 240gn stuff i found started to hurt after a while but lead SWC's i loaded myself i could shoot all day or 180gn factories were fine too. The loads in that pic are 180gn XTP's loaded with 30gns of WIN 296 they didnt boot alot but it used to make a flash that would make people come running to see what it was  DJ Niner 12-16-2006, 23:58  dougader 12-20-2006, 12:46 I'd love to get one in 45 colt. I kick myself for not getting one of the ss 5-1/2 inch redhawks in 45 colt when they were out a couple years ago... I may just have to buy a d*mn .44 mag, lol. The only thing I didn't like was the pinned front sight, I was hoping it would be like the larger redhawks and have the interchangable sights. noway 01-05-2007, 18:38 Hint if you find the Ruger special collector edition 2007 they have the story and photo They only state 44mag so no 45colt or 41mag Bullman 01-05-2007, 19:38 I think that was the magazine I was looking at in the store. I didn't figure they would make one in .41, but it is nice to dream. It would be my ideal .44 magnum though. I think if I ever get another .44, I will stay away from my brother in laws handloads:supergrin: CanyonMan 01-06-2007, 01:18 The Ruger special addition magizine that noway, and DJ Niner spoke of, have the the pic and story.... Ruger is very bad about having an updated /current website. Personally, i am 'very excited' about this gun. It is a 'far cry better' than the snubbie Alaskan, and looks to have a good potensial for pickup truck carry, and woods carry, and 100 yd. hunting on deer to elk with the 'right loads'. I truly believe this will be a really great gun to own. Still placing first on the list, my BH's and Vaqueros, and SBH's, I will be first in line for this new 4" model RH. I really think it will be a great hunter, as i am used to 4" models anyway, and know their potensial even out to 200yds and more. But a 100yd deer/elk gun, this looks very good to me, not to mention a SD piece. A big  to Ruger on this one, "from what I see and read, and hear so far.." The proof will be in the shooting, but then i have NEVER owned a bad Ruger. ;) Just hope it doesn't come out for a few more months in my area, as I am sinking my $$$ into 'more' recurve bows at present, this, and "life stuff" in general, has kinda drained the billfold! CanyonMan Ganesh 01-06-2007, 01:34 Shoot!!! Ruger aint to bad. Glock took how many years to update? ;) It just makes ya that much more excited when ya see somethin new on their site. Oh and AusShane...that was one sweet Revo ya posted there. You miss her much? I'd love to give that sweetie pie a nice big ol' hug and never let her go. :hugs: ;) AusShane 01-06-2007, 01:53 Originally posted by Ganesh Shoot!!! Ruger aint to bad. They made a short run of the Redhawk 5.5" SS revolver in 45 Colt and apparently there wasn't enough demand for it so they stopped making it. I wish I would have grabbed one of those when they came out and were selling for $369-$399 new at the gun shows. I actually prefer a 5 - 5.5" barrel on a big 45 Colt. amblackm 01-29-2007, 21:44 I found a PDF about it here: Ruger 4 inch Redhawk (www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/PDF/NewProducts/KRH-444-A-S.pdf) I want one!!! -Andrew DJ Niner 01-30-2007, 01:29 I kinda like those grips. When I heard it was going to have Hogue grips on it, I figured they would be full-sized; these have that pinky-drop 3rd finger-groove setup like the Hogue Bantams for the K/L-frame S&W. SDGlock23 01-30-2007, 10:36 Gunblast has an article on it here http://gunblast.com/Ruger-Redhawk4.htm DJ Niner 01-31-2007, 01:23 Thanks for the link! A darn good article. Gunnersaw 01-31-2007, 22:32 Has anyone heard when these will be available ? pliskin 02-03-2007, 07:26 Word I heard was 2 weeks. vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
