A local gun store has a bunch of "ADCOM Manufacturing Ltd." "M855". It is in a yellowish-orange box, and has "AM 1258" "Made in U.A.E" on the back. the lot # is AML98M010-001
The base is stamped "AD 556 98".
Anyone know anything about this ammo or its reputation? The guy at the gunstore said that it is "South African", but the last time I checked the U.A.E. was an arab country along the Persian Gulf, lol.
I just got my first AR-15 yesterday, a Bushmaster M4 A3 and am looking into ammo now. From reading the ammo oracle over at AR15.com, it sounds like M193 is the best way to go(w M855 second), but looking around here that is hard to find and expensive. He also has Federal AE in stock and Wolf polymer black box. I see that the Wolf is not as accurate as the others though, but is not horrible. I am looking for both a range/stockpile ammo, and also a defensive ammo. This is a lot harder than deciding on everything for my AK's. I may just get some of each and try it all out.
