i w just picked up a new mossberg 500a and was wondering if its ok 2 dry fire it or do i need snap caps im new to shotys so any help would be great thanks in advance

I can't speak as to dry firing the Mossberg, but I do know that snap caps don't hurt, and using snap caps are great practice for loading and working the pump action.

I would imagine that dry-firing a Mossberg 500 is not a problem; I bought snap-caps to practice loading/unloading, as well as to do function checks after cleaning & reassembling my Mossberg. (I have snapcaps for nearly all of my guns for this same reason).
