And it went smoooooothly
Saftey works, no sear movement and the safety operates nice and smooth. I used an Ed Brown narrow, extended safety. One thing I noticed is the Ed Brown once finished had a lot more metal contacting the sear than the stock Colt did...

J, if you still have any daylight out there, can you take a close up pic of the grip safety when it is pushed IN ?
Thx

Sure..
No light left, will have some tomorow, though the weather is supposed to be nasty
Don't people in East Camas, I mean Washougal have lights INSIDE their homes? :animlol:

Good eye, Scott.
Jonathon,
You can stop now before making the rest of us even more envious. ;)

how do you test the sear for movement with the newly fitted safety engaged?

jonathon,
I dig those grips!
Mind if I ask where you got them, and do they come in other colors?

Got the grips from Brownells, they are $60 from them.. probably not the cheapest place to get them, but with their "discount" they are $48.
On sear movement, you just assemble the gun without the grip saftey installed, gives you a clear view of the saftey and sear engagement.
