Dan Wesson BT Commander

I bought myself an early Christmas present. I ordered a Dan Wesson Bobtail Commander in .45 acp. on Friday. My dealer called me yesterday afternoon and said it was there. I rushed right over to pick it up. Boy thats one good looking pistol. I took it to the range today to break it in. I put 200 rounds of WWB 230FMJ and about 50 rounds of Winchester 230 grain SXT JHP. The gun digested everything without any problems. It's pretty accurate too. It's going to be my new Everday caary piece.

I agree. I have one in 10mm and I think that the DW's are one of the best kept secrets in 1911's. Well built, designer parts, and just one heck of a value for the money. Congrats on a really good gun.

I've got a CBOB and a pre CZ PM 7. I really think they a the best value in 1911's right now.

What gun store did you order from and how long did it take to get in? Also, could you scare me on the price and let me know how much you paid or at least a ballpark figure. I've been admiring the pistol on the Cz website but have not seen one in any of the gunshops on the east coast of central fl.

We've got one in the shop at this time. It has a price tag on it of 924.00, which is a little high as I understand it.

I've fondled it several times, thinking about taking it for mine, but I'm not all that enthused about the bobtail to spend for it, preferring my SA milspec LW Champion for a lot less money.
