Just got a G20 - need to upgrade recoil spring?

Is there any need to upgrade the factory recoil spring to save battering on the frame when using full-house loads? The stock spring seems remarkably light.

I usually don't change anything at all on my Glocks since I find them to be tuned just right from the factory, but I guess I'm a little concerned since the 10mm is such a hot load and known for destroying other pistols.

I'm definately not a GG(Glock guru). What I have learned in these forums is that if you feed your 20 a steady diet of the DT kinda stuff(as I do) you should change to a heavier spring. Somewhere here it states a 22 pounder. Some here, say that a spring change is not necessary.I have changed to a SS captured recoil rod and a 22.

To me the recoil is somewhat greater and my groups have moved high right by 2(or so) inches @25 yds. This, shooting the 180gr.XTP,DT load. -------

I favor an ISMI #20 lb. for 90% of what I run and a #22lb. for the hotter(i.e. Doubletap)stuff. They're very smooth functioning and never seem to lose their stiffness.
