Just wondering if any narrower front sight existed for Glocks...
I love to shoot at very small target @25 meters with my G26/19 but most of the time i can't see what i am aiming at anymore (i shoot at clothes pins, coins, business cards, etc)

I am trying to call by phone to veriffy if they have the correct height for my 17L. I will repost in a few minutes.
The guy at this company said they work on a 34 so he believes they will work on the 17L. I am going to order a couple of sets right now.

Ameriglo also offers sight sets with skinny front, as well as front sights in a variety of heights.

If you get a +1 rear sight, you will have a six o'clock hold. This means the target can sit on top the front sight, instead of being covered up by the sight.

What width do you want?
Sevigny Tritium and Heinie are .125
Sevigny comp is .115
DP is .105
I have .090s available as well
.090 is about as thing as you can go, I made some .085 but the threads started to show on the outside.

I don't know exactly what width i'd like, but anything narrower enough for me to see more of my target will do.
I guess i'll try Sevigny Comp for my G19 and Sevigny Carry Night for my G26. Carrying is not an option down here, but my G26 stays in my night stand when i am off to bed. Burglars don't expect to find anyone armed in France, so a few shots in the ceiling above their head might scare the hell out of them if needed.

.
The cost of the speed sights are $55.00. I've talked to several other people who have used them and all had the same opinion, the make follow up sight pictures much faster and with the different color combinations included with the set, you can choose the best color combination for you. They are also very easy to install as well as change the color inserts.

The Speedsights, unfortunately, are not setup for precision shooting. For your type of precision shooting, it's best to go with a .150 width notch rear and a thin .09 front serrated sight. Black on black (target) would be preferable, but some choose to have a single fiber optic front (or fiber optic front and back, either contrasting color or same), also in the .09 configuration, such as Dawson's. CGW now offers the .09 width blade, as well as Ameriglo - both have the serrated plain front. .165 is the standard height for the front post when used in conjunction with Glock rear notch sights, but if you're going to use a Bomar BMCS low-mount or a Dawson adjustable rear sight, then you'll need at least a .285 to .300 front post height. At .10 (Dawson fiber optic), that's still pretty thin for a front sight, and I consider it (in match use) to be very useful in holding accurate shots.
Good luck...

I too would like a narrower front sight for my G17. I was wondering the correct height to use with the STOCK G17 rear sight.
Thanks

Okay, I'm good with a little more daylight around the front sight; easier to use, but often a little less precise.
Where I'm lost is how any of this solves the OP's question about hitting small objects (cards, clothespins, coins) at 25m.
Allowing an extra 0.0075" of daylight on either side of the front sight is not going to solve the problem. Or did I miss something here?
I'm even trying to allow for you young whippersnappers having a lot better eyes than I do. :)
