Finally took pictures of my Remington 870 Tactical. It is factory stock. I got mine before they started putting the wierd green finish on. I have Wilson Combat 6 round side saddle, but I ended up taking it off. It makes the gun seem too bulky.

NICE!
I just installed my Knoxx Specops stock on mine. Next will be sling and figure out how to modify it so I can install an extended tube.
If any of you have the Knoxx, can you tell me if I should have the gap between the stock and the receiver? I tightened the screw tight as I can but still have the little bit of gap. It's tight, just not sure if I should put in a small washer or something.

Did you take the spacer out? You don't need it with the Knoxx stock. You'll love that stock when you're sending slugs down range.

The spacer on the original wooden stock? Hmmm, didn't know there was one. I'll have to check that.
Eventually I'm going to send the Knoxx stock back to Knoxx to have them install the reduced recoil springs to make it REALLY sweet.
Can't speak directly for the wooden stock, but I have a 870P with the Speedfeed 1 stock that had a spacer that had to be removed. Just put the knoxx stock on today...woohoo for Christmas! Check out the instruction book that came with the knoxx stock and there is a picture of the spacer and a guide for 870's to remove it. If you have that spacer, it will cause a gap, otherwise it should align perfectly.

Thanks to both of you for the input. I'll check out the spacer issue before the weekend is over.....I hope.
Just curious as to what you found. Do send that stock back and have it modified, you will never regret it.

Ummmmm, actually........I traded it to a buddy of mine for a motorcycle trailer. I need the trailer worse than I needed the SG but I've got my sights on another one in the next couple of weeks.

Update:
I'm keeping the shotgun AND getting a three-rail motorcycle trailer. My buddy decided to give me the trailer as an early wedding gift and I'm keeping my SG. Should be picking it up from him later this week.
Congrats. You've got a pretty good friend there. Let us know how you like that stock.

Will do, Mike. I'm considering sending it to Knoxx to have the recoil reduction springs installed but it's $70 just for that. I only paid $45 for the stock off EBay in the first place.
And yeah, my buddy is a good one. We've put a lot of miles down the road on bikes. He's a helluva wingman.
