View Full Version : pm9 pocket carry
Well I just ordered a SmartCarry holster for my pm9 which will suit me just fine, but I want pocket carry options as well.
Ideally I don't want to spend more than $50 or so on a pocket holster, but naturally I want it to work well... I'm mostly concerned with front pocket jeans/khakis/cargo shorts carry, but the option of slipping the holster inside say a suit or jacket pocket (the inside pocket) would be ideal. Printing is fine so long as it ain't way obvious.
Suggestions? PICS?!?!?!

I have the MK9, and I went with the Desantis Nemesis. I got mine for about $28.00, IIRC. It holds the gun very securely, and it is easy to draw from.
Here's my setup:

+1 on the Desantis Nemesis. Very sticky surface on outside of holster provides a good retention in pocket.
I have the Nemesis and the Grandfather Oak Pocket Companion (http://www.grandfatheroak.com/Stockdesigns.html).
The Grandfather Oak is thinner and slightly less bulky, I like it better for pants/shorts pocket carry. But I like the Nemesis better for jacket pockets.
I also have the PM9, and use a Desantis Nemesis. I only paid $12 but couldn't be happier if I paid $50.:cowboy:

I have a Desantis Nemesis plus a K&D to fit the PM9 with ArmaLaser.

I pocket carry a PM9 and sometimes a S&W 340pd and have tried a lot of holsters. The one's I use now are great, never come out with the gun, reholster easily, and do a good job of disguising the gun in the pocket. It may take a little while to get one since he is a 1 man shop but check out the pocket lockit from www.kytac.com
I've tried several and ended up with a FIST pocket holster. It is very thin kydex and has a thumb tab to help with the draw. It is the best I've found.
Here's all the sub $50 pm9 holsters I could find that are specifically for pocket carry:

BTW I emailed grandfather oak and was told the xl pocket holster for the pm9 is now of Kydex construction.
What size is the Nemesis holster you guys are using? Is it the Compact Auto? Or something else?

At K&D Holsters, our basic pocket holster is $45 and our 2n1 (with snap on/off anti-print panel) is $50.
Waiting on mine so can't tell you first hand experience but...
Pocket Concealment Holsters are almost all under $50

Quality looks good.
The DeSantis Nemesis is working out great too but I like the idea that with the PCS Harpoon it will "allow the holster to be started off the weapon with the thumb before the draw stroke is initiated."
