View Full Version : Aimpoint QRP or A.R.M.S M68?
Since the cost is nearly the same, which is the better mount for a flattop AR?

Hello -
I hate to be that guy and say neither, but I say neither -
Buy the LaRue Tactical mount - it is hands down the best Aimpoint mount available -
Spend a little time at AR15.com and you will see many people in the know have few good things to say about ARMS mounts -
My buddy had both - the Aimpoint mount would vibrate loose upon firing, and the ARMS would begin to get loose with use -
Trust me, buy LaRue -

You want the Larue LT-129, it is one piece, has storage for an extra battery, has a superior lever design, it lighter, less bulky and is not a modular design compared to the ARMS mount.

Another vote for LaRue
If LaRue is an option LaRue is the Answer!

For an extra $20 get the LaRue.
I started with the Aimpoint QRP, but the knob hanging off the side was too big & would get hung up on things.
Upgraded to the ARMS M68 when it became available. Low profile throwlevers were the **** & everybody was buying them.
Both are good mounts and never gave me any problems... but the LaRue (currently using an LT-150) is the handsdown best.

Personally, I like the A.R.M.S. #22M68
