I have been looking for one of late and have found a few on the auctions. Is there a site such as a collector's shop that has these for sale? I am looking for a shooter, it can have Bulgy import mkg, I don't care. I am also curious as to the going prices.

Bulgarians are not Russian Makarovs. They are Makarovs made in Bulgaria. Other than that there is little difference.
Here is some info:

These guys have quality Makarovs from time to time.

Otherwise, I suggest you start haunting th gunshops and pawnshops within a 50 mile radius.

These sources list some EG Maks which I already have. The Bulgy imports refer to the occasional 1976 marked Soviet guns that sneak in as Bulgarian but the markings indicate were made in the old USSR. I also have a pair of Bulgarians, a commercial and a milsurp.

Yeah, I have one of those 1976 Russan PMs. It was imported by PW Arms and has an import mark "Bulg". It's a beauty. I've been curious if it was simply supplied to the Bulgarians by the USSR when they were one big happy communist family or if some exporter was simply sneaking them in through Bulgaria. My feeling is who cares if it came here via Bulgaria, at least it's a bona fide Soviet PM that made it to our shores for me to buy.
