View Full Version : G20 barrel swaps??
I know on the G29 you can swap out barrels and have a .40 S&W and a .357 Sig.
Can the same be done with the G20?If so anyone in here ever did it and any feedback would be great.
Merry Christmas
Also a moment of prayer, silent thought ,whatever, for those in harms way. They know better than most most our freedom isnt free.....AMEN:bringiton:

Hi there....
You bet! The G20 can also do a simple barrel change to shoot .40, .357sig and 9x25 Dillon. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
IS THE 9x25 dILLON THE SAME AS 9MM

The breachface of the 10mm isn't large enough to fit a 45 dia case. That is why I started with a 45 to do the G20/21L. That said, your available choices are considerable. You can get ammo in those 4 calibers (40, 10, 357, 9x25) that move from a stately 750fps all the way up to a screaming 1,800fps!! (Double Tap's 115grn 9x25 per Mike's web-page). What more could you want?
that's what i keep hearing, i thought that the slide and the frame was the same from the G20 to the G21?
i was under the impression that only the barrel was different.
so really the slide it self is smaller?
(aka the breachface on the slide)
what is the real differences?
-thanks.
i am just really courious, and like to figgure these things out.:wavey:

The receivers are the same, down to the part number. The slides are NOT the same. The 10mm has a narrower breechface (barrel hood cutout). Also, the .45 slide has been lightened a bit compared to the 10mm slide, whose design has left more "meat" on/in the slide to increase its weight and therefore inertia.
Hope this helps.

Does this also mean that I can run a G-20 barrell on a G-29 without damage?Reply appreciated.
Sorry, no.
Locking lugs are different.
