Bought the gun from a gentlemen on the board, gun looks to be as new but was fired 75rds. When I remove the slide, the recoil spring guide rod is not locked in the cutout (in the barrel lug) and it's a little hard to remove the slide because it had dropped down and is dragging on the frame. When I put it back together, the recoil spring guide will sit in the channel in the barrel and will stay there until I try to remove the slide. Is this common with the 10mm because of the heavier recoil spring? My G23, G35 and G17 never had this problem. Thanks,
Bryan
The G20 guys here would sure know(they know everything) better than I. But my expierance with my G20 was .....> it did the same thing the first few times that I disassembled the weapon then,no more.
I felt that on reassembly I was putting the guide rod firmly into the bbl lug,but maybe not. Anyway it doesn't do it anymore. --

Perfectly normal. The notch closest to the barrel is for assembly-once you work the slide it drops into the other notch for operation.
