What would you recommend for me to use as self-defense ammo for my new Glock 31C? I was thinking of getting the Double Tap .357 SIG ammo, but don't know what bullet weight to go with.
I currently have Speer Gold Dot 125 gr. JHP. Haven't even fired the pistol yet.
Speer and Double Tap. 125 gr.
Hornady has a nice hunting round in XTP. Two weights I think?

There are some good ammo choices out there for personal protection purposes...My fav's are;
Federal 125 gr JHP #P357S1
Speer Gold Dot 125 gr GDHP
And my favorite and the one I use for carry;
Winchester Ranger 125 gr SXT # RA357 SIGT
Which ever you choose, shoot a box or so to make sure your pistola likes the round......

That's definitely good advice! You not only want to make sure the pistola likes the round but the mags, as well.

Speaking of self-defense rounds, has anyone had any bad experiences with Georgia Arms Gold-Dot Shear Power Plus? 100 rounds for $37.50 + SH seems like a decent deal. I've done business with them in the past and like their product.
