I still have my G21L, but today I got a G17L. It is part of the last limited batch released (test fired in 7/05). I shot it before I bought it and loved it. Plus 17Ls are just dead sexy IMO.

Here she be. It has Heinie Slant Pros on it right now. I will keep the blank back and put a Dawson FO front on it later.

Don't worry, I thought about that for about 10 seconds after aquiring it, then remembered it was the other way around.

I am fine with 9mm anyways and wanted the "L" over a 24 anyways.

Last year, I got a _deal_ on a G24C upper. I started using it on my G34 frame. Then, I bought a 9mm conversion barrel.

Finally, I bought on of the new G17L made last year. Woo Hoo!

Now, I need to get a G21 and a G21L upper - with a 10mm conversion barrel!!!

BTW..just wanted to plug Caspian. The quality of fit and finish are as good as it gets. Oh, how I wish they'd start production of G20/21 longslides!

I am just not a fan of .40. I have one .40 and it is a great gun (Witness Match), but I shoot it very little. I am just a 9 and .45 kind of guy. I am planning to convert the witness to 10mm because my brother already handloads 10mm for his G20.

I have a carver mount and C-more on the way for the 17L.

Re: the production, I am not sure if it is done for good, but they only do them in small batches (something like 2k per model last time between the 17L/24/24C) and only every few years or so. I know I am keeping mine as stock as possible (or at least no permanent modifications) just in case.
