The following appeared in the USAToday on 12 December 2006. It is real and I'm not making it up!
"State Rep. Edmund Kuempel filed a bill that would allow legally blind individuals to use a laser sight, or lighted pointing instrument, to hunt. The bill gives the state until Jan. 1, 2008 to come up with a definition so that a law could be enforced. The devices are forbidden for sighted hunters, and the hunter would have to carry proof of legal blindness."
