View Full Version : Aimpoint ML2 2x 2moa dot
Ok,
I have other options for in the house use, my M4 is for range fun. I haven't heard too much about the CompML2 2x. It sounds like it might be a good compromise for my purposes. Does anyone have any experience with these particular optics?
Thanks,
Paul

The 2MOA dot is optimised for use with their magnifier.
The smaller dot is easy to "lose" when moving around with the rifle shouldered. The standard 4MOA dot is easy enough to lose, the 2 is half that size..
It all depends on what you want to do with it.
As to the sight itself, my M68 (Aimpoint Comp M2 or ML2) has been whacked, smacked, rained on, dropped, slammed into doorways, etc an it's still ticking on the original battery 1 year later.
Thanks Mr Murphy,
Obviously durability will not be an issue. The actual model I am considering is the one with intergral 2x magnification. I am guessing from what you said that this would be appropriate for what I am after. Has anyone actually used one of these? Very few online vendors list this model.
Thanks,
Paul

Stay away from the 2X model (is like looking through a fish bowl). You are much better off buying a ML3 (2MOA) and then buying the Aimpoint 3X magnifier.

Thanks C4,
That's exactly what I wanted to know. And to follow up, you feel the ML3 is worth the extra money over the ML2?

Paul,
I like the ML3 because of the battery life and 2MOA dot.
I have some in stock and offer GT member discounts if interested.
