View Full Version : The Glock 9mm's
Five years on GT and my first photo post....just a tad large for the page, at least on my monitor. BTW, the 26 was sold within hours after this was taken.

You have the 3 best 9mm's!
I have been here longer and still haven't posted
I also sold my 26, why did you sell yours?

Saving pennies. I'd like to add OD green to my G17/19 collection.
Nice nice very nice. I'd like to add a 34 or 35 to my collection.
Ian,
I've owned four G26's over the past five years, and I always sold or traded each within 6 to 9 months of buying it. I gave it several opportunities, but it could never grow on me like the larger models. I think the 26 is a great weapon, but it's too small and "chunky" for me. My hand fits better around the 19, plus with the 2004 "sunset", I'm going to take full advantage of hi-cap mags. I shot very well with the 26, and I was comfortable with it's ballistics using my preferred loads. However, I'm now stocking up on 17's and 19's, and don't plan on looking back.
For old time's sake, here are some pairs of 19's and the now-deposed 26's.......

I agree.
I wrote to Glock over ten years ago requesting something like a Kel-tek P3AT.
The reply came back that they couldn't change all the moulds, and that I would like the 26, so I purchased one.
I didn't dislike it, it just wasn't what I wanted.
Yes it is accurate, but I couldn't shoot it anywhere near as quickly as the 17 that I had at the time.
It wasn't a pocket gun either!
I also dropped it a couple of times on practice draws, so I sold it.
They would take back a lot of the market if they mada a tiny 9mm or 380 small and thin like the P3AT.
I would sell Kel-Tek immediately.

For me, I couldn't see the advantage of a G26 over my G19. The size difference isn't that great. Also, If a BG grabs your weapon, he'll have a greater purchase on a G26 than you will by the grip.

And a G-18!! :animlol:
Very nice pic, TWS G26.
Funny but I like the Glock 26 the best and have 2 of them. I did some modifications so they would fit my hands better. They are great to carry and as accurate as the G19 in my hands.

While I like the G17 best, I carry my G26 pretty much 24/7. While I like the G19 and recommend it on a regular basis to first time Glockers, it has never fit my hands...it gives me pinky pinch when I fire it.
The G26 was easy for me to get used to. I never really missed having a place for my pinky...at least it was better having nothing as opposed to getting it pinched. Also, I love the way I can carry a G26 concealed so much easier than with the G17.
Anyway, I do agree with most folks on this thread...that the GLOCK nines are the best GLOCK has to offer. I too need to complete my collection with a G24. Sometime soon I hope.
