I reported this in General Glocking and I thought the big bore members might also be interested.
I just got back from the range where I shot my 36 for the first time. I own a full size .45 Government and find it shoots easy. I did not know what to expect from the 36 for two reasons. First, all of the negative reports made me skeptical and afraid of buying it, but I did. Second, I did not know what to expect from a compact .45.
Well, it shot great. No FTF, FTE or FT-do anything. I even tried to limp wrist it, but it just kept on shooting. I shot Fiocchi, WWB, and Speer Lawman ammo (230gr FMJ). Accuracy was equally great for all types. At 10 yards I clustered at about 1.75' dead center. The only thing I replaced was the sights. I went with Aro-tek 3 dot that look just like Ameriglo slant sights. Recoil was snappy, but fun. It was a little more than my Gov.Model, and more than my G26, less than my .357-all in all very controllable. Grip size was good for my hand, and there was no pinky pinch by the magazine. It will be one of my CCW guns. I will stick with ball ammo, they are some big ***** rounds and I would not want to be hit by one.
I am very pleased with this gun and fully expect that it will perform great from now on.
