View Full Version : Affordable scope for an AR?
I've got a 20" A3 I'd like to get a scope for but I really don't want to spend several hundred on. I've got an Eotech so I just want to get something my wife and I can slap on to use for plinking and what not at range. It doesn't have to be super high powered or anything. Just some decent magnification factor is all.
Can anyone suggest an affordable (cheap) scope that isn't a complete piece of junk?
Thanks!

The Bushnell Trophy 3-9X40 scopes are excellent.

A good variable power shotgun scope would work fine. Like this Weaver 1.5x5.

You can also try a Burris 2x-7x like this one.

You want to stay away from junk scopes. A good scope will last a long time and not break or be affected by the recoil of the rifle.
I am using the 10x42 super sniper scope on my 20" varmint barrel Rock River rifle. It is a quality scope for the money.(@$299)linky1 (http://www.riflescopes.com/ss_review_gunblast.asp)linky2 (http://www.riflescopes.com/departments/231/rifle_scopes/super_sniper_rifle_scopes.htm)
I like the Bushnell 3200 10x Mildot. I use one of these on my 17HMR and love it.
