Ok heres my dilemma, I have a glock 30 , for which I am looking for a laser site. My choice is lasermax, but which one do i want the Internal Guide Rod or the Unimax. Any advice or opinions would be great. Thanks.
We've had good luck with LaserMax in models G21 & G19, so I'd opt for a third in my G30 (when I get it).
The Uni-Max is attractive for many reasons, cost being only one of them. But the product is very new and the initial feedback on this forum was dicey, at best.
Do an internet search for Uni-Max Reviews.

I was told that the internal guiderod were more accurate since the the guiderod runs parallel to the barrel. I thought someone else said that they were guaranteed to a certain distance for accuracy.
Good Luck.
;)
I can tell you that the LaserMax units in our G21 & G19, place the dots about 1/4" below where the rounds hit, right to the back of the range.

The Glock is my choice of defensive pistol because of it's simplicity. It works like a revolver, no buttons to push, safeties to disengage, etc. and shoots like a semi-auto, which it is.
With a Glock, all you have to do is point and pull the trigger.
Why would you want to change that by adding a button to push, i.e., something you have to 'remember' to do??
A friend of mine installed a Crimson Trace Laser on his G27. I have one on order for mine from www.impactguns.com , for $178.99. Simple, no 'buttons' to push. When you grip it your palm engages the pressure switch, turning on the laser.
I can't use one on duty, but I would if I could! My off-duty G27 will have one soon!
