Surefire Forend 618fa Or 918fai

I have a Remington 870 express. It has a tac-star 6-shell side saddle. With the addition of this item, I am no longer able to "pump" my shotgun. The side saddle gets in the way.

Solution?

New forend or cut the old forend. I am liking the idea of getting a Surefire forend with the light built in to it, but I have a few questions first.

Will it fit with the side saddle? I do not want to cut a $250+ forend.

I am leaning towards getting the 918FA, as its got double the light output of the 618FA.

I have noticed everybody and their brother selling these things on GT lately. Why is that? Are they really not that good? Could Surefire have a bad product? Why are people selling these things? Why arent they using them on their own guns?

These lights are great and you definitely do not want to cut on it. The solution is to get a 4 shot side saddle, that's what I had to do. As for seeing them for sale all the time it's just business. Heck this is a pro Glock site and how many Glocks are for sale? If you decide to not get the light I would just cut the current forend to make it work with the 6 shot saddle.

So the 6 shot side saddle will not work with the Surefire forend either?

The Surefire WILL WORK with the side saddle.

Why everyone is selling them lately? I dont know, but I know I have purchased 3 forends and have loved all of them (two for gifts, one for me)

It is completely worth it. The one time hit is worth it for the ability to identify your target and for resale

The surefire fore end works just fine with the six round side saddle. A very worthwhile investment unless you prefer to shoot without identifying your target.

125 lumens for an hour, or 225 lumens for 20 minutes! :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

Even if I miss my target with the 00 buck, I will at least be able to melt them with the light. :thumbsup:

(Kidding of course, I wouldnt miss with my Remmy!)
