First and foremost I do not want to start a bashing thread of Wilson and Nighthawk. I am simply looking for your thoughts on the two fine fighting pistols and which you would choose and why. I am hoping to get some responses from experienced owners. I am trying to do as much research as I can before I drop a load of cash. This pistol will have a high round count. I maintain my pistols very well, but they have to perform flawlessly. I try to take several classes a year, we do lots of training and I do a lot of shooting on my own. This will be a fighting pistol, one that will be carried on the job. Thank you for your help.
I personally own a Nighthawk 5" Talon. I love it. I have 1050 factory rounds though it. I have had zero failurs of any kind including a couple of Local IDPA matches. I have zero experience with Wilson but they look and feel like they are a good choice as well. I would not hesitate to look at a Wilson for myself on my next 1911 purchase!!
More confused now right?

I had a CQB for a year and only sold it because I needed cash. It was very accurate, never malfunctioned in any way and it ate everything I fed it, factory and handloaded ball, lead and jhp's. I thought it was an excellent piece.

I love my CQB it has been very reliable and has more accuracy than I could ever want. My only complaints with the gun are the Wilson Combat Night Sights. They did not have a white outline (they offer this now) and their not serrated. So they do not stand out very well outside of really low light or bright sunlight. I just bought a rear 10-8 sight with tritium and I am having Wilson put on a front sight with a white outline around the tritium. I belive this will help.
I have no experience with Nighthawk but their guns look nice.

I too am a CQB owner. Best gun I have ever owned! For a 1911 you can't go wrong. I'm nearing the 10,000+ round mark. I will be sending it in for a new ejector. Other than recoil springs and firing pin springs I have not replaced a thing. It runs strong!

I own neither but have seen both being shot in IDPA matches around here. They are both good sound reliable guns. I wouldn't buy a green pistol though. Will Wilson make the CQB in normal colors?

Interesting thread at http://www.tacticalforums.com/ (http://) about a couple Nighthawk 1911s. It's in the Custom Guns Forum. I like the Nighthawk pistols, they just seem a little overpriced to me. If they can continue to get the prices they are asking and grow as a company that's wonderful.

Mine is all black. Just call in and request what you want. Be very specific though when in comes to the bushing and trigger. i.e. If you want a black trigger make sure you tell them, black trigger.

EDITED TO ADD: I have only posted a couple times in here. But I would like to share with everyone that I am an official member of the Model 1911 club (1911230). Is there a secret hand shake that I should know of?
EDITED TO ADD: Sorry for the double post. How'd that happen?

From what I hear, you cannot go wrong with Nighthawk. However, my only experience is with the CQB. The only thing it was missing was a rail, and Dawson fixed that for me:
